Ian Nelson has been in and around soccer his entire life. Growing up playing for the Boy and Girls club indoor leagues to outdoor competitive to adult amateurs. In 2010, he started refereeing and has been blessed with the opportunity to referee the US Soccer U16 & U18 National Teams, Colorado Rapids, Colorado Spring Switchbacks and various collegiate teams. He now referee’s part time in the College, High School and youth systems. Ian has also coached soccer for over 15 years and currently holds his National D license. 

Over the last 15 years, Ian has been in the relationship management business with England Logistics as a Freight Broker and retired in 2021. He found retirement to be too boring and has opened his own Financial Advisory to help others find healthy relationships with money.

Ian’s two daughters Alaina and Kira both grew up in Windsor Rec soccer and quickly moved into the Rush system where they grew so much and found success from the great coaching staff and community support that Rush provides. You will usually find Ian at a soccer field one way or another trying to give back to the sport that gave him so much. This is Ian’s second running on the board of directors for Rush and he’s excited to help keep the club’s values while progressing it forward.
