For over 15 years, Iván Díaz has served as a noteworthy leader in both higher education systems, non-profit agencies and the photography community. With a focus on servant leadership, Iván has supported youth, their families and individuals with guidance, and community resources, coupled with a prioritization in equity, and inclusion. His time in higher education systems leading student success, enrollment, and accessibility support services along with program and leadership development has allowed Iván to lead from a communal lens.

Iván’s leadership is influenced by his values of educación, comunidad, and familia. He demonstrates his success as a leader through authentic and collaborative relationships, culturally responsive practices, and strategic decision making. Iván is committed to creating transformative, sustainable change with and for the individuals, families and community members he serves.

Iván received his Masters of Arts in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies, and Bachelor of Arts in Communication both from the UNC.

In his spare time, Iván enjoys spending time with his partner, three children and their 3 pets. He also enjoys watching his kids play sports, the outdoors, cycling, music, art, cultura, and is a professional photographer.
